Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website, for what purpose and on what legal basis we process it, and what rights you have. We comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Glass Decorator Sp. z o.o., ul. Kadrowa 17, 04-421 Warsaw, Poland (“we”). For any matters relating to personal data you can contact us by e-mail: biuro@glassdecorator.pl, by phone: +48 22 379 24 13, or by post at our registered address.

2. What data we process and why

  • Enquiries (contact form, e-mail, phone) – name, e-mail address, phone number and the content of your message. We process them to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote – on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Order fulfilment – data necessary to conclude and perform a contract (measurement, production, installation, invoicing, warranty) – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and for accounting and tax obligations – Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
  • Establishing and defending legal claims and website security – our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Statistics and marketing – information about how you use the website, collected by analytics and advertising tools only after you give consent in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Providing data is voluntary, but without it we cannot respond to your enquiry or fulfil an order. We do not make automated decisions or profile users.

3. How long we keep data

  • enquiry data – for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, and then no longer than 2 years from the last contact, unless a contract is concluded;
  • contract-related data – for the duration of the contract, the warranty period and the limitation period for claims; accounting documents – for the period required by law (usually 5 years from the end of the tax year);
  • data processed on the basis of consent – until consent is withdrawn.

4. Who we share data with

Data may only be received by entities that help us run our business, and only to the extent necessary: our hosting and e-mail provider, the company providing technical support for the website, our accounting office, courier and installation companies and – for the tools described in section 6 – Google (Google Ireland Ltd.). Using Google services may involve transferring data to the USA; this takes place on the basis of the European Commission’s EU-US Data Privacy Framework decision or standard contractual clauses.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, have it erased, restrict its processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw your consent at any time – this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before its withdrawal. To exercise these rights, write to biuro@glassdecorator.pl. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw).

6. Cookies and third-party services

The website uses cookies – small files stored in your browser.

  • Necessary (always active): remembering your choice in the cookie banner (gd_consent, 180 days) and the selected website language (pll_language, up to 1 year).
  • Analytics and marketing (e.g. Google Analytics launched via Google Tag Manager) – only with your consent. We use Google Consent Mode, so without consent these tools do not store cookies.
  • Google Maps – on the Contact page we display a location map provided by Google. When it loads, Google receives, among other things, your IP address and may store its own cookies in accordance with its privacy policy.
  • YouTube videos – embedded videos are provided by Google/YouTube on the same terms.

You can change your consent to analytics and marketing cookies at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the website footer. You can also delete and block cookies in your browser settings – however, blocking necessary cookies may make the website harder to use.

7. Social media

The website contains links to our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube profiles. These are plain links – data is only sent to these services once you visit them and is processed in accordance with their own privacy policies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, e.g. due to changes in the law or website features. The current version is always available on this page.
